Our Story

North Hills Construction was established in 2013 by Matt Boyd with one simple goal: to build a company known for exceptional craftsmanship, honest service, and remodeling done the right way.  

Construction has been a part of Matt's life from the very beginning. Growing up in New Zealand, he helped his family build their own home and left school at sixteen to begin working on construction sites full-time. After moving to the United States at eighteen, he started his career installing tile before expanding into full-home remodeling where he developed the experience and attention to detail that continue to define North Hills Construction today.

As Matt gained experience managing residential remodeling projects, he realized he wanted to build something more than a business. He wanted to create a company that homeowners could trust and one that would provide lasting opportunities for his family and the people who worked alongside him. That vision became North Hills Construction.  

What began as a one man business has grown into a dedicated team of skilled craftsmen and office professionals serving homeowners throughout North Scottsdale and the surrounding communities. We are especially grateful that much of our work comes from referrals and repeat clients. To us, there is no greater compliment than a homeowner recommending us to their family and friends. Those relationships are the foundation of everything we do.  

While we're proud of the homes we've remodeled, we're equally proud of the people we're developing. At North Hills Construction, we believe great craftsmanship is built through mentorship. We invest in training the next generation of tradesmen, helping them master every aspect of residential remodeling while developing the leadership, professionalism, and integrity needed to succeed in this industry, or even build businesses of their own.

Today, our mission remains the same. We are committed to delivering exceptional remodeling with honesty, clear communication, thoughtful planning, and uncompromising attention to detail. Every project is completed with the care and respect we'd expect in our own homes. We believe trust is earned through the quality of our work, the relationships we build, and the way we serve every client.
